About me

My passion as an artist comes from always having an eye for the details that makes something vibrant. My passion also stems from having such a love for the arts, whether it be music or painting or theater. . . I love it all. My artistic journey is still one that amazes me because I was always a singer, but never much of an artist. I have been singing since the age of 3 years old in my granddaddy's church. I took piano lessons as a small child and performed in talent shows, church choirs, school choirs, school musicals, weddings, and funerals. I was even given the opportunity to sing in Europe with my university choir for about 25 days during my undergraduate studies.

Professionally, I was an elementary educator for four years. One of the ways that I would help my students to remember information taught was to teach them catchy songs. Singing has always been such a place of comfort for me. However, after the passing of my older brother on his 33rd birthday, I needed something else to comfort me. That's when, painting and crafts came in the picture. Grieving my brother has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Yet, somehow through all of this pain it's as if some of his artistic abilities passed on to me (trust me I had none at first). Art has provided quiet, peace, comfort and refined love my way.

My brother always spoke to me like I could do it all, and I am constantly inspired by the amazing legacy he left behind. I pray that my love for him is felt through my art and transcends into the hearts of many.

Ingenuity & song

Ingenuity and Song means to me to never stop creating, embracing individuality, releasing idealistic perfectionism and enveloping artistic freedom of expression. All of these components are shown with each craft I create and song that I sing by simply embarking on the freedom to be all of me. I am a multifaceted artist who puts love and joy in every opportunity completed.
